In the last month Tesla signed an agreement with Shanghai authorities to set up their first factory outside the United States. According to analysts, this deal is expected to boost the company’s manufacturing size by twice.

Elon Musk, the Chief Executive of Tesla, said that the company is willing to fund the project with their local debt. Tesla previously has said that its Shanghai based factory will start manufacturing electronic vehicle after two years of construction. This factory is designed to produce 500000 vehicles a year.

Tesla in a recent test by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found that two of their electronic cars having automatic braking system badly performed. Tesla model S and model 3 performed the worst in comparison to a Mercedes, a BMZ, and a Volvo. All the cars were required to stop at a specific point in order to check their automatic braking capacity, apart from Tesla’s model all the cars stopped on time. Tesla’s model did apply brake, but was not strong enough to avoid the stationary object which it hit.
