On March 10, worldwide known office suppliers company, Staples has announced earlier in the month about their launch into the business lending sector as a reason of the demand for office suppliers going down. The company has decided to focus on the B2B world apart from the office supply products.
A new unit that has been formed for the B2B unit – Staples Advantage launched the Print-to-Store service on Tuesday. The service will provide the company customers to order print assignments online and later can get it collected from the local Staples spot. Staples informed that the service is quite different from the conventional online print order jobs as Staples will be providing enhanced visibility and help in the company procurement division. The print jobs can be handled through Staples Advantage employee accounts and with the help of B2B billing system an invoice will; be directly generated in the employee account. This will avoid the payment in stores or submission of any expense report for reimbursement.
Steve Bussberg, Senior Vice President of Staples Advantage stated that the print-to-store will give an advantage to our vast retail locations and the B2B streamlining will help both the users and procurement divisions. In addition to this, the company can set an approval technique on the employee account to prevent misuse of printing by company employees.
Staples have been trying to start with B2B services since some time. Staples also informed their plan to acquire Office Depot, which recently got merged with OfficeMax as the office supply spending is still falling.
