Nokia has recently launched a new model of smartphone to regain its lost dominance in mobile phone industry, and to compete with current leading brands such as China’s Huawei, Apple, and Samsung. Nokia’s attempt of remaking Classic Nokia 3310 confronted with mixed reviews from market due to its poor camera and 2g connectivity. However, market has embraced the phone owing to its sleek design and T9 texts.
The new smartphone by Nokia which features the Android operating system has a high-resolution 5.3-inch screen and spatial audio pulled from Nokia’s high-end 360-degree camera with a polished aluminum body. This model is built to compete with the smartphones such as Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7.
“Bothie,” to Revolutionize Selfie Feature
Nokia is now focused on the “bothie” to revolutionize selfie feature by using Nokia’s Dual Sight technology to start both front and rear cameras at the same time. This feature will be used to take pictures or videos of both user and the subject he/she wants to shoot at the same time. These pictures and videos can also be shared live on Social Medias such as YouTube and Facebook. In reference to the same, HMD chief product officer, Juho Sarvikas said that users are sharing live photos and videos and are trying to make their content livelier. They are getting motivated by content that have been published online, and they are looking for new and effective ways to create their own content. HMD Global is a private equity-backed firm, which is led by former employees of the Finnish company. HMD is reviewing the handsets created by Nokia.
