Amazon has launched the new ‘Alexa Blueprints’ which is a new way for users to make customized skills and responses as desired. And this is possible entirely even if users do not know how to code!

Alexa Gets a ‘New Make Your Customized Responses’ Update

The idea is to allow Alexa owners to create their own voice apps, such as a trivia game or bedtime stories. With the help of Alexa Blueprints, users can also teach Alexa how to answer specific questions by using self-developed responses. Users can also create responses to a specific skill, such as communication required while conversing with any other person who is expected ask specific questions to the device.

According to Steve Rabuchin, Vice President of Amazon Alexa, the Alexa Bluprints is an entirely new way for teaching Alexa personalized skills not just for a specific person, but also for his/her family and friends. Customers can create their own skills and customized responses in Alexa by visiting blueprints.amazon.com, where they have to select a template. At least 20 templates were made available after Alexa Blueprints was launched, which deal with separate topics such as storytelling, learning and knowledge, fun and games, and others. Users just need to fill in small pieces of information in the template, consequently creating a personalized response.

There aren’t any complicated steps and there also isn’t any need for the users to have any technical knowledge. Amazon has ensured that the templates remain pre-filled, in order to make it easier for users to fill just the additional details quickly. After everything has been filled, the response can be given a name, after which it can be published with just one last click. The skill also is available on all Alexa-enabled devices associated with a user’s Amazon account. To keep it private, the skills are not available on a public server or even the Alexa Skills Store.
