More Information about iOS 12 by Apple

According to Craig Federighi, the senior vice president of Software Engineering at Apple, iOS 12 will straightaway increase the performance of an Apple device twice as of now. The OS will be available to all devices that currently support iOS 11. Apart from performance, the operating system is expected to enhance device optimization too.

And here comes the best part; that along with release of iOS 12, Apple will also be releasing some new features that can work fantastically on this operating system. Firstly, users can soon get their hands on a new file format for augmented reality, which is named USDZ. Apart from this, Apple would be launching a new app to educate people about augmented reality, which is called Measure. It works mainly like the famous third-party app called MeasureKit.

The company would also be updating its ARKit and will include multiplayer augmented reality, i.e the same AR experience will be received by users on multiple devices. Simply said, an iPAd can be pointed at a LEGO set to add virtual objects, buildings, and other structures, essentially creating a small virtual city.

With the release of iOS 12, Apple would also be updating its search-based processes, bringing in better suggestions and improve user experience. When it comes to Apple Music, a ‘For You’ tab will be added that can show users their old albums, photos, and memories that they have had with people closest to them. And lastly, Siri is also being enhanced with shortcuts included in context of voice, lock screen, and search screens.
