Huawei Launches Highly Polished and Lustrous P20 and P20 Pro Smartphones

Two brand new Android smartphones were unveiled recently by Huawei – the P20 and the P20 Pro, and they are all about glitz and glamour. Both phones are designed to exude a distinct shine, a notch similar to the one present in the iPhone, and three rear cameras.

Both phones are successor versions of the P10, and also an alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S9. The P20 is of course more affordable than the P20 Pro, and it is equipped with a 5.8 inch LCD display having 18.7:9 ratio. From an overall perspective, the screen is exactly like the one present on iPhone X. Compared to P20, the P20 Pro is significantly larger, being equipped with a 6.1 inch display. An OLED display is also present, which is being introduced by Huawei for the first time, them making the P20 Pro more appealing than the P20. A glass back has been provided to both phones, along with an aluminum frame, which is similar to the rear design present in Samsung Galaxy S9. Both phones are quite lightweight as compared to iPhone X.

The phones are released in five colors for the P20 and four colors for the P20 Pro. A differentiating feature between the Huawei P2 from other Android phones is the front position of the fingerprint sensor, which is present just below the display. With respect to the camera, Huawei has created a new benchmark by installing three rear cameras – a 40 megapixel lens in combination with a 20 megapixel monochrome lens, and a third 8 megapixel photo lens. These features are not only useful to get that extra zoom, but also click excellent quality portrait photos and beautiful slow-mo videos up to 960 frames per second speed. Automatic detection of objects by using the cameras is possible by properly adjusting the cameras settings. The selfie camera automatically adjusts skin tones, thus making selfies highly attractive. Long exposure shots are automatically stabilized through the cameras.
