BRG Welcomes New Financial Advisors

The Berkeley Research Group, a global strategic advisory and expert services group, has expanded its panel of experts to add three names: John Maher, Wendi Lonnquist, and Jack DeWitt. Each of them possesses deep knowledge and experience on banking and risk management advisory.
Walter J. Mix III, a leader at BRG’s Financial Services practice, stated that he is happy to welcome the three new members, and looks forward to BRG offering their expertise to their financial services clients.
BRG’s New York and Los Angeles offices will be led by director John H. Maher. John has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry and excels in consumer compliance, strategic planning and development, organizational design, risk management, and commercial financial services. He has handled clients in domestic and international banks, as well as non-bank services. He was also the senior VP of the international strategic development at a large financial group in Boston and New York.
Jack DeWitt will be based in BRG’s L.A. and Washington, DC offices. He is experienced in all facets of compliance, and especially on the Volcker Rule, along with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau preparedness. His experience includes the fields of commercial banking regulations, bank holding companies, mortgage companies, credit risk management, loan loss reserve methodology, and strategic planning.
Wendi Lonnquist will be based in BRG’s L.A. office. She has more than 25 years of experience and collective knowledge as a compliance consultant and examiner, and as a community banker. She has held clients in banking and non-bank institutions, advising them on risk management, fair lending, credit, and the Community Reinvestment Act.
