The word wine is derived from the Latin word vinum. It is an alcoholic beverage which is extracted from fermented grapes. The grapes are fermented minus the addition of water, enzymes, acids, sugars, and other nutrients. There are also diverse varities of wines that are manufactured by fermenting other cereals or fruits.
