Universal Technical Institute to hold automotive training sessions for hiring 80 positions for Long Beach Campus

The Universal Technical Institute is planning to conduct a career fair will be held on 27th and 28th of March in the year and will fill around 80 positions. The positions will include facilities manager, student support advisors, instructors, and administrators for the Douglas Park campus which is expected to open in the month of August. The two day career fair will take place from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on 27th and from 8:00am to 4:00 pm on 28th of March in Long Beach campus.
The Universal Technical Institute (UTI), an Arizona-based unit is planning to use the campus of Long Beach for training purposes and will open its 12th campus in the town to level up with the growing needs in the automotive service sector. The training will be given to students in diesel, automotive and collision repair domains.
As per the figures given by the California’s Employment Department, the jobs for technicians in automotive service sector are expected to rise by 15 percent till 2022.
The Universal Technical Institute hold around 11 campuses in the United States, that included two campus of California as well, which has provided graduation degrees to over 190,000 workers in the span of 50 years. The parent company of UTI also operates Marine Mechanics, NASCAR Technical Institutes and Motorcycle Mechanics.
Rancho Cucamonga is the closest UTI unit to Los Angeles which started in the year 1998 and has around 165 employees and a huge capacity of 3000 students for training. The students who graduate from UTI are hired by Crown Lift Trucks, Sears Auto Centers, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Pep Boys, AutoZone, and Penske among others.
