Under Armour Sponsors Charles Street 12

Under Armour Inc. has announced that it will be the presenting sponsor of the September road race, Charles Street 12.
The event will be held on September 5. It is currently in its third year and will be branded with Under Armour signage throughout the course. The contestants that will be taking part in the 12 mile race will receive long sleeved shirts that are branded by Under Armour.
The deal’s terms and conditions are yet to be revealed.
Under Armour has been meaning to make their mark in the running market and sees this as the perfect opportunity in the running market.
The director of brand marketing for Under Armour, Jasmine Maietta, said that Under Armour is dedicated to all running sports and sees the Charles Street 12 as a wonderful opportunity to show that support. The company has every intention of creating new traditions regarding running sports all across Baltimore.
She also said that Under Armour is especially excited to be a part of one of Baltimore’s most important athletic event and get to show support to one of their key partners in the city.
Two years, ago, Under Armour withdrew their name from the title sponsorship of Baltimore Running Festival two years ago. The festival has yet to find another title sponsor after that. Under Armour was the long standing sponsor for the Baltimore Running Festival, with the title sponsorship costing more than US$500,000 per year. The sporting apparel brand had said that their presence will not go away from the festival. Under Armour said they would continue providing their runners with their T-shirts.
