Spanish Textile Industry Price Rises 0.8% in November 13

November 2013, recorded a 0.8 percent rise in the Industrial Price Index (IPRI) for the Spanish textiles. This was recorded according to the data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE). The IRPI that was registered in the month of November is little higher than the IPRI recorded in October, 2013.
According to the data registered by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the IPRI in the production of wearing apparel segment witnessed a decline of 1.1 percent in the month of November, as compared to the same that was seen in the same month last year.
The manufacturing industry of Spain such as the textiles and apparel production witnessed a decline of 1.4 percent in the month of November, as compared to the same month in 2012.
Moreover, the annual rate of the IPRI for November declined by 0.6 percent compared to the month of October 2013.
IPRI as an entity has the capacity of measuring the monthly change in prices of manufactured as well as sold industrial products. It also measures the ex-factory selling price that does not typically include the industry expenses on transportation, marketing, and value-added tax (VAT).
The INE is Spain’s official organization that gathers statistics about the economy, demography, and Spanish society. It is an advanced autonomous organization in Spain that is responsible for a coordination of statistical services of the General State Administration in control, monitoring, and supervision of technical procedures.
