Samsung is now the Official Consumer Electronics Partner to the Proteas and Cricket South Africa

Cricket South Africa and Samsung Electronics South Africa have Samsung as their prospective official consumer electronics partner to CSA and the Proteas. They have announced their three-year deal earlier this week.
Their exclusive consumer electronics partnership with the Proteas and CSA includes cameras, mobile and touchscreen devices. Samsung has planned to have its branding rights all over the Umpires clothing at RAM SLAM matches and cricket stadia across the entire country with Samsung logo on the boundary ropes.
In addition, Samsung touch screens will be utilized at the cricket pitch side and Supersport studios during the RAM SLAM and International matches. The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will be excluded from the branding though.
During the RAM SLAM-when the batsman strikes 4-6-6-6-4 as consecutive boundaries, Samsung will contribute around R1million in total to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
CSA, Haroon Lorgat, Samsung is excited that a global leading company like Samsung is coming on board and both Samsung and Proteas are extremely popular brands in the world due to their quality performance and reliability. Meanwhile, Deputy MD of Samsung Electronics SA, Matthew Thackrah said they are honored to deliver innovation to the cricket in South Africa and be a part of the CSA family. Their contribution will leave a revolution that will change many lives to come for years.
South Africa is popularly known for cricket and Proteas have been a successful team in this country. It has consistently ranked in the top three nations of Test and Limited Overs patterns of the game. Samsung will support them in becoming world champions at the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, in Australia, said Thackrah.
