The athletic consumer goods company Nike has announced the release of its new Easter Collection on Tuesday of male basketball shoes. The collection features a colorful range of new signature shoes endorsed by Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant.

The four shoes are called KOBE X, LEBRON 12, KD7, and KYRIE 1. They have been created specifically to capture the spirit of Easter. Their colors are pastel paired with micro camo, with abstract prints and florals.

The Nike Basketball Easter Collection 2015 will also feature t-shirts, socks, and hats that have been designed to match the four shoes. The collection will be released on and in specific retail outlets on April 2.

The LEBRON 12 Megafuse is a fusion of thin layers onto the single piece sleeve near the ankles and a Hyperposite wings for extra support. The shoe also comprises Zoom Air, hexagonal air bags in the front sole that provide extra cushioning and flexibility.

Forbes had reported earlier that James is currently the highest grossing shoe salesman who plays in the NBA. Nike has already sold merchandise worth US$340 million under his names in the past year through January. The figures are up 13 per cent from the previous year.

James earns roughly US$20 million per year from his partnership with Nike which has lasted for more than a decade.

KOBE X consists of the shades “hot lava” and “artisan teal”, two colors that are inspired by a robin’s egg. The design is minimalist and the shoe is kept very light in weight.

KYRIE 1 features 360 degree dynamic traction, Hyperfuse, and Zoom Air, while KD 7 shoes are colored in “sunset glow, vapor green and liquid lime”. The micro camo print symbolizes street art.
