The city of New Richmond is growing fast and one can say it from the increasing number of construction activities taking place across the city. On a drive down to Madison Avenue one can easily spot the construction of the all new of 12,000 square feet facility. The facility is being constructed for Barley John’s Brewery. Apart from this yet another massive construction taking place in the site is the 33,000 square foot Phillips-Medisize plant. A 6,000 square foot expansion is also underway at the 45th Parallel Distillery.
Further a new 20,000 square foot construction for St. Croix Power Sports is also in progress and along with it one can also come across a three storey, 52 units building under construction in the same region. This apartment is dubbed as the Croft Place.
Beth Thompson, Community Development Director, New Richmong Community, mentioned in a mail that she sent to a prominent media house that in 2014 an investment of almost $23 million was incurred to finance the new construction projects. She mentioned in the mail that the investment on construction and infrastructural development made on 2014 has registered tremendous growth compared to $5 million invested on new construction in the year 2011 and $20 million that was spend during land rush in the city. She mentioned that although the figures dropped to $4.8 million in 2013, but she is positive about the city to continue its run of rapid infrastructural growth in 2015 as well.
Thompson in her email also mentioned that the city is gearing up for robust business opportunities with construction projects underway for spring this year. The city is looking forward to start the construction of a new business and technical park soon.
