The Chinese firm Lenovo has announced to launch their new smartphone, the Vibe Z2 Pro, in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in September.
Lenovo’s new release will be in direct competition with the flagship devices of other companies such as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, Sony’s Xperia Z2, and LG’s G3.
The Vibe Z2 Pro comes with a 6-inch screen at 2K resolution. The high-end smartphone features the Android 4.4.4, which will be driven by a 2.5GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and a 3GB RAM. The phone is supported with 32GB internal memory and a 4,000mAh battery.
The phone’s salient feature is its 16MP rear camera which can record videos at 4K resolution. The 4K recording feature puts the Vibe Z2 Pro in an elite category with the Samsung Galaxy SS and LG G3.
The camera features include low-lighting photography, a Pro Mode for complete manual photo settings, optical image stabilization, anti-lens distortion for portraits, and zero-shutter lag. The phone comes with the HRD-ready SNAPit app, along with SHAREit, SYNCit, and SEEit Gallery. A Smart mode is capable of detecting what a user is shooting and changes camera settings accordingly.
Lenovo said the 0.3-inch thick phone is aimed at tech-savvy and discerning customers.
A recent IDC report puts Lenovo’s global marketshare at 5.4 percent in the second quarter of 2014. The share has risen from the 4.7 percent during the previous 2014 quarter.
The Vibe Z2 Pro will be available in black, gold, and silver. There have been no comments on its pricing yet.
