HUL to Drive Competitiveness in Food and Beverages Market

Consumer goods producer Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) is looking forward to strengthen the core of its business and push the competitiveness of its brands ahead in the market.
 
Mr. Harish Manwani, the chairman of HUL stated that they are going to continue to make the core of their business strong and boost the competitiveness of their brands in the market. He further added that they are dominating the market development in the emerging segments such as premium personal care and packaged foods with powerful results.

Microsec Research, a Kolkata based research firm, stated that it was the fifth successive quarter of double digit growth in packaged foods segment, which is led by Kwality Walls and Kissan.
 
Mr. Manwani stated that brand investments were constant at competitive levels across all segments even as competitive force stepped up in the commodity associated categories.
 
As per a statement issued by the company, it is said to note that from personal care to food and beverages, the brands of HUL are part of everyday life. It further states that it brands play an important part in helping the consumers to achieve their sustainable living goals by assisting more than a billion people enhance their health and well-being, making the environmental footprint of its products half of the actual, and sourcing 100% of their agricultural raw materials. Given the fast shifting external environment, it is managing its business dynamically for continued volume dominated growth and margin improvement, it adds further.

From the last two quarters, the input costs began with a fall in crude oil costs and this has started to show in the lower price of products sold, the company further said.
