Food Union Finally Succeeded to Ship its First Ice Cream Container to China

According to the sources, the first container of Food Union, which has a quantity of around 10 tons of ice cream, has finally been shipped. The mentioned container will be getting shipped from Riga to Hamburg, and then later from there it will be shipped to Shanghai.
In the Chinese city of Shanghai, the ice cream will be made available in the premium-class supermarkets, and the price range will be in between EUR 4 to EUR 5.
The company is further anticipating a significant rise in terms of volume of ice cream; it will be exporting to the mainland China in the near future. With this shipment, Food Union Company has become the first dairy firm from the Baltics which has exported some of its products all the way to China.
As per the information, the dairy plants such as Valmieras piens and Rigas piena kombinats of the Food Union, a dairy processing company have been added to the list of importers of the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China). As a result, the company will be starting to develop the plan for its first shipment of some of the dairy products to the nation already in this month.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Rigas piena kombinats, Normunds Stanevics states that the addition of their dairy plants on the importers list of China; which was a very pleasant news that was the last thing in the two-year long process for starting exports to the mainland China. He further told that this is very special and important news, as previously in this month, the Food Union Company was not able to offer its dairy products at the Asia's biggest and most prestigious exhibition of food and drink in Shanghai.
