Farne rewarded Food Industry Oscar

Farne Salmon in Duns - a much famous joint for Scottish Borders based smoked salmon and fish businesscelebrates its scooping a trio of receiving a Gold and Silver Award in the Ready to Eat Fish category. It is scooping a trio of national product awards in the Grocer magazine’s Food and Drink Own Label Awards.

Farne is known for its Finest Kiln Roasted Salmon with Roquito Peppers and Basil and Smoked Salmon Slices with Sweet Chilli. Both of these items are prepared for its key customer - Tesco.

Farne has proudly bagged a Silver Award in the Chilled Pates and Spreads category for making Smoked Salmon and Mustard Dill Verrines. These dishes are also made for Tesco.

The Grocer Food and Drink Own Label Awards decided the winners based upon the judges’ comments and consumer feedbacks.This decision attracted a record number of entries. Consumers highly praised the Kiln Roasted Salmon for its quality packaging and its delicious moist/flaky salmon by the peppers and basil topping. The Judges were impressed by the originality of the product and its attractive presentation.

Farne as a food company has come a long way in recent years.
