The component Epoxy system has the capability of withstanding different sterilization methods that include cold sterilants, EtO, radiation, and more. Master Bond EP21AOLV-2Med is ideally used in the medical device industry in coating, sealing, bonding, and encapsulation applications. Comprised with cytotoxicity and biocompatibility certifications, the two component epoxy material is highly effective when put to use. 

This product by Master Bond is highly conducive and electrically isolating with good flow properties and smooth consistency. It offers comprehensive strength of more than 18,000 psi, and a tensile modulus of 450,000-500,000 psi with curing capabilities on low shrinkage. 

EP21AOLV-2Med has effective chemical bonding capabilities that blend well to glass, plastics, composites, metals, and other rubber materials. Its low coefficient and viscous properties make it suitable for encapsulation and potting applications. It is an ideal medical grade product with a temperature range of -60°F to 250°F and resisting chemical properties that are mainly subjected to oils, water, and fuels.  

A 100 gram batch of this product would offer a working life of approximately 4-6 hours (room temperature). Featuring EP21AOLV-2Med product ratio by weight, the Part A denotes gray and Part B as off-white. This on further simplification denotes mixing that can be conveniently applied with a trowel, paint roller, spatula, brush, or knife.  

Typically, the EP21AOLV-2Med product has a shelf life of six months when found in unopened containers. Moreover, it is available in gallon kits, pint kits, quart kits, ½ pint kits, and five gallon kits. The system has the capacity to cure at room temperature or with an addition of adequate heat.
