The company’s effort to be bridge between industry experts and energy efficiency projects in the near future have already been underway with the program it launched last year.

The program it launched last year includes a huge database that will act as a mediator for the interested parties such as contractors, equipment manufacturers and vendors, banks and financiers, facility managers, insurance companies and energy service companies. The program will essentially communicate the industry requirements pertaining to energy efficiency to the involved players.

The ‘EmiratesGBC Energy Efficiency Programme’ (EEP) has been designed using a huge database of services and products gathered from its corporate members. The database itself credits it fact that the program is being run by well-known industry experts who are working towards creating a functional retrofit industry in the region of UAE.

The digitization of the program allows EmiratesGBC members a quick access to the database. It will also help in streamlining the information processing, gathering, and sharing with the members involved. Saeed Al Abbar, the chairman stated that the Energy Efficiency Programme intends to raise awareness about building a green environment and energy efficiency.  This will also improve the equation between industry stakeholders as it will offer them solutions to problems they face while working on energy efficiency project.
