Cisco and Telecom Italia Desires to Collaborate to Offer Innovative Cloud Services to Italian Businesses

Telecom Italia and Cisco announced at the Mobile World Congress 2015 that both the companies intend to enter into an agreement to deliver the Cisco-enabled managed business services and Cisco Meraki to organizations across Italy as a part of their joint endeavor to provide organizations throughout Italy the benefits of the innovative LAN management.
Cisco Meraki is an industry leader in delivering cloud controlled WiFi, security, and routing. Telecom Italia has embraced the Cisco Meraki technology to provide organizations across the nation modular and complete set of services that they might require for managing the operations of their businesses alongside providing deep application control for enhanced end-user experience.
Furthermore, both the companies expressed their desire to collaborate for the development of supplementary cloud managed services capitalizing on the comprehensive orchestration and virtualization software platform of Cisco to create, automate, and optimize services in real time across widespread network storage, compute, and functions. The technology will empower Telecom Italia with the ability to provide business with easy to deploy solutions that are centrally managed from the cloud and offer a complete overview of the network landscape.
In fact Telecom Italia also has plans to capitalize on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure and Intercloud Fabric to construct a highly secure and hybrid cloud called Nuvola Italiana services.
Over the last twenty years, Telecom Italia and Cisco has partnered in multiple projects to offer cloud and efficient cloud managed services to companies and organizations throughout the Italian market. The services provided by Cisco include infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) to Unified Collaboration within the brand of Nuvola Italiana. The company has also achieved certificates powered by Cisco which includes, IaaS, HCS, and TPaaS services, enabling the provider to play a crucial role in delivering cloud empowered solutions to the Italian market.
