The 3D printing innovations introduced in the medical industry are being appreciated and accepted by people across the globe. Recently, the company introduced a 3D printing filament for 3D medical models, a specialized material for healthcare, called as YS-PC133. This 3D printing filament is approved and certified for healthcare and has cleared all the tests that are required for ISO 10993 certification. The 3D printing filament meets the FDA/CFDA standards and is compliant with the USP class VI. 

According to YouSu, the new 3D printing filament fits in the health industry as it is amongst the best materials and can be used for many applications. This is possible because of the features such as strength, durability, and versatility. YouSu plans to work with Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University and an external 3D printing company to make use of YS-PC133 materials in surgical procedures. Till date, the 3D printing filament has been utilized in a surgical procedure where a scan was performed on the patient’s bone and 3D printing process was done on a Qubea 3D printer. With the help of this 3D printing filament procedure, the doctor could plan a surgery and prepare patient specific titanium bone plates.
