A memorandum of understanding between Disney Destinations International and China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd was signed on Friday to promote the business of these entities in China\'s burgeoning tourism market.
As part of this newly signed memorandum of understanding, the focus will remain on three key areas. These include: developing vacation packages for tourists to visit Disney Destinations, carrying out co-branded promotional and marketing activities, as well as using various distribution channels to promote the most popular products and services offered by Disney.

According to recent data provided by the UN World Tourism Organization, China represents the largest market for outbound tourism. It has maintained this status for the second consecutive year after it had managed to beat Germany in 2012. The total number of person trips in 2013 in China was estimated to be 98.2.
According to market research reports, the total amount of expenses that tourists made on traveling abroad touched a whopping USD 102 billion in 2012. This made China the leading tourism source in the global tourism industry, on the spending front. According to figures, the number of domestic tourists in China remained high as well with the total number of domestic tourists (in terms of person-trips) being 3.25 billion. And, the total expenditure was pegged at USD 403 billion, making it three times more than 2008.
