During the Chinese-Belarusian trade and economic cooperation forum held on 18th November 2015 in Minsk, it was announced that the construction of China-Belarus industrial park will be completed as per schedule. According to Li Haixin, the director general of the private joint-stock company (SZAO), construction of all facilities in the industrial park is as per schedule and the authorities are confidently and systematically carrying out all required operations. A major chunk of the work, to build the engineering infrastructure in the Belarus-China Industrial Park, is scheduled to be completed by 2015, stated Li Haixin. Construction of infrastructure that is required for the industrial park’s companies to manufacture different products will be ready by 2016, added Li.
Belarus-China industrial park is noted to be the largest cooperation between China and Belarus, said Li. Government support right from the launch of the construction project has helped both countries in completing the project faster than planned. Li Haixin appreciated the support from the government and thanked the authorities for giving preference to faster development of the industrial park. The new industrial park is considered to be one of the biggest construction project for the China and Belarus construction industry. This industrial park is expected to create a promising investment climate for the emerging companies in the construction industry of China and Belarus.
The main motto of the industrial park is to create a suitable infrastructure for businesses and to grant tax relief to all participants. The prime focus will be on developing business avenues such as mechanical engineering, biomedicine industry, chemical industry, and electronics industry. The China-Belarus industrial park is centrally located in Smolevichi District, Minsk Oblast 25 km away from Minsk. The park is located near the international airport, transnational Berlin-Moscow motorway, and the railway station. Residential and manufacturing zones, trade and entertainment areas, office premises, and a financial center will be soon planned to be setup within the industrial park area.
