Azerbaijan-Russia business talks focuses on Agriculture, Industry

On the sidelines of the 5th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum in Gabala on June 23, Azerbaijani Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev met the Russian Minister of Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev.
According to Mustafayev, the Azerbaijan-Russia relations are successfully developing, reaching the level of strategic partnership. He highlights the importance of the Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum and shows how it would contribute to the development of cooperation, reported the AzerTag state news agency.
Both the countries and their regions have a well-established cooperationin economic, trade, investment and humanitarian areas.
Businessmen from a variety of fields representing 25 federal subjects of Russia were attending the forum, said Slyunyayev. This would open new prospects for developing the regional relations and boosting Azerbaijan-Russia business partnership. They also discussed the relations of Azerbaijan and Russia, and other important things like signing of bilateral documents and methods of developing the ties in the fields of industry and agriculture.
Russia is the primary trade partner of Azerbaijan in the CIS. Azerbaijan\'s investment in Russia\'s economy in the past 10 years amounted to around $1 billion, $200 million of which fell on 2013. Also, over $628 million were invested in fixed capital and around 570 Russian companies are operating in the country.
