Automotive Innovation Center Launched in the U.K. by Tata

The chairman for Tata Group, Ratan Tata has recently laid a foundation stone for their brand new 150 million pound center for automotive innovation. It was planned as the largest research center of its kind based in Europe. The center is expected to create the most innovative vehicles catered for the global consumers.
With his successor - Mistry, Tata was present at the launch of the NAIC or National Automotive Innovation Center. This center will be operational by 2017 at the University of Warwick campus based in Coventry.
According to Tata, this foundation is an investment for future as it will help to bring academia and industry closer and revive the capability and skills of several industries to recreate the prominence of the United Kingdom in the sector of manufacturing. He also said it will create the opportunity of thousands of jobs as they move forward to the future, and this launch would mark a memorable moment.
The NAIC is projected to be the largest center for automotive research and one of its kinds in Europe. This center will be funded by the organization Tata Motors and also by their U.K. enterprise Jaguar Land Rover. It will also be funded by the UK’s government’s Higher Education Funding Council for England and the University of Warwick.
This center is large complex with area of 33,000 square meters which will provide space for around one thousand engineers, academics, and designers to work collectively, right from trainees to senior manager. Tata said that they want to see the United Kingdom shine again and considered as the center for manufacturing worldwide.
